The first event of the 2025 Irish Poker Open is set to commence with players taking to the felt in Flight 1/A of the €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty at the Royal Dublin Society in Ireland's capital city. Once again sponsored by PokerStars and Paddy Power, the event is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year with play commencing at 12 p.m. local time.

This is the first of four flights, with this tournament offering a guaranteed prize pool of a whopping €1,000,000. Last year saw the Irish Poker Open host a four mystery bounty tournaments, two in Pot Limit Omaha and two in No Limit Holdem. Cumulatively the prizepools for those tournaments totalled just shy of €350,000, which just goes to show how much the format has increased in popularity.

Last years champion in the €1,100 No Limit Hold'em - Mystery Bounty 8-Max was Polish national Grzegorz Kozieja who took home €23,570 of the €124,450 prize pool for his first place finish, besting a field of 262 in the process. Kozieja seems to enjoy this format and he banked €165,700 for a second place finish in the €3,000 EPT Mystery Bounty in Prague last December.
