Sherwood Gets Dominating Double-Up

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Yurii Zabrodotskyi open-raised to 60,000 in middle position. Robert Sherwood then shoved in his stack of 295,000 from the hijack, which Robert Sherwood four-bet to 1,665,000 for an all-in bet of his own.

Zabrodotskyi asked for a count but eventually mucked his cards, leaving the remaining pair to show down.

Erik Sturkenboom in the big blind and Yurii Zabrodotskyi in middle position were looking at a completed board of A210J3.

Sturkenboom assembled 500,000 chips and pushed them into the pot of 750,000, sending Zabrodotskyi into the tank. After a minute or so, Zabrodotskyi tossed in a calling chip.

Sturkenboom shook his head as he tabled 107 for a pair of tens. Zabrodotskyi showed KQ for a straight, shipping the large pot and leaving Sturkenboom with 14 big blinds.

Slay Secures Double-Up

Stephen Freeman raised to 50,000 in middle position and was called by Vikrum Mehta in the hijack. Big blind Kelley Slay then put in his stack of 370,000, folding out Freeman.

Mehta, however, made the call with the covering stack, putting Slay at risk.

Miller's Back-Jam Backfires
