Robbie Toan opened to 12,000 from early position. Emad Zarghami raised from the hijack to 28,000. Action folded around and Toan called.
Toan led the 8♣8♥7♦ flop for 35,000. Zarghami called. The 3♦ was checked around before Toan checked again on the 7♣ turn. Zarghami bet 45,000 and Toan snap-folded.
Kevin Allen had gotten his above-average stack of 253,000 in preflop on the button. He had been looked up by Rafael Navas, who played an enormous stack in early position, and the players showed down.
Kevin Allen: A♠A♦
Rafael Navas: A♥Q♥
Allen had Navas drawing dead after the 3♣6♠7♣8♥ turn, rendering the 5♠ river meaningless as he doubled to over 100 big blinds.
Adam Bromley had made it 10,000 to go when Nils Linden three-bet to 30,000. Starny Hoang, winner of the Irish Open Deaf Championship, then jammed all in for 77,000, which only Linden called.
Starny Hoang: A♠A♣
Nils Linden: K♠Q♦
Linden paired up the 10♦Q♥2♦ flop, but it was not enough to crack Hoang's aces on the 2♣5♣ runout, doubling up Hoang.
