The five players have been sent on a dinner break of 35 minutes. The coverage of the final table is expected to resume around 8:40 p.m. local time.
As first to act, Vasyl Palandiuk raised to 4,000,000 with A♦2♦. It folded to Narcis Nedelcu in the big blind, who defended his 4♥2♥.
The flop fell 5♥3♦6♣, which both players checked. Nedelcu then blasted 8,000,000 into the pot on the 9♣ turn, but Palandiuk was having none of it and quickly folded.
Oliver Gayko opened in the cutoff, putting in 4,000,000 with A♦5♣. Narcis Nedelcu flat-called on the button with 8♠8♥, and the two went heads up to the 6♦6♥4♦ flop.
Gayko continued with a bet of 3,200,000, and Nedelcu just called to the Q♥ turn. Gayko then sized up to 8,500,000, folding out Nedelcu's better hand as the Romanian mucked his cards.
Daryl McAleenan opened the action with a raise to 4,000,000 in the cutoff. Danilo Donnini then three-bet to 12,500,000 on the button, after which Oliver Gayko four-bet jammed his stack of 24,000,000 from the small blind.
McAleenan requested a count before he folded A♠8♠, but Donnini deemed the price too good and quickly called.
Oliver Gayko: K♠K♣
Danilo Donnini: A♥10♦
Donnini flopped two extra outs on J♠5♥Q♠. The 7♠ turn presented Gayko with a flush draw, however, which was completed on the 9♠ river to secure the pot and double up, overtaking Donnini in the chip rankings.
It folded to Daryl McAleenan in the small blind, who open-shoved his 23,000,000 chips into the middle. Danilo Donnini snap-called in the big blind, and the players tabled their cards.
Daryl McAleenan: A♣2♣
Danilo Donnini: A♠10♠
The crowd erupted in cheers as the 10♣3♣6♣ flop brought McAleenan a flush. The 4♥ turn eliminated any runner-runner outs for Donnini, and the final Irishman in the Main Event was officially awarded the pot on the meaningless 4♠ river.
Danilo Donnini found A♦10♥ under the gun and raised to 4,000,000. Narcis Nedelcu called with A♥Q♦ on the button, and the dealer saw a 10♠9♦K♦ flop being fanned.
Donnini sized down to 3,500,000, prompting Nedelcu to put in a raise to 9,000,000. Donnini went deep into the tank, spending two time banks before coming out with a three-bet to 21,500,000.
Nedelcu eventually mucked his gutshot, and Donnini took down the pot to close in on a nine-figure stack again.
Narcis Nedelcu upped the ante to 4,000,000 under the gun, holding 7♠7♣. Vasyl Palandiuk then moved all in for 37,900,000 in the cutoff with 9♠9♥, and Oliver Gayko entered the tank in the big blind with 8♠8♥.
After spending one of his time extensions, Gayko mucked his eights. Nedelcu's sevens quickly followed suit, and the pot was awarded to Palandiuk without showdown.
Danilo Donnini raised to 4,000,000 under the gun with 5♠5♥. Narcis Nedelcu called on the button with 4♥4♦, and Daryl McAleenan fancied a flop in the big blind with 4♣3♠.
Donini continued for 6,700,000 on the J♣8♦K♠ flop, folding out both players and taking down the pot.
