Lyall rejammed, covering Mullan's stack of 220,000, and the latter decided to lay her cards down.

When the action folded to Peter Astley, he moved all in for roughly 50,000. Nobody at the table wanted to tangle, seeing him pull the blinds in unopposed.

The very next shuffle, Iani Tulica put his big stack to use, raising to 10,000. When the action folded to Frederico Hitner, he opted to move all in for 78,000. The action returned to Tulica, who, after a bit of mental arithmetic, opted to fold.

Farrelly pondered a call, but eventually convinced himself not to gamble and folded.

Johnston flopped a pair on 3♣Q♠K♥ to take the lead over Sweetman's tens. The K♣ turn and 6♠ river were no help to Sweetman, spelling the end of his Day 1d.

Sweetman has cashed in four mixed game tournament this Irish Open, winning the 2-7 triple draw as a highlight, but will have to enter Day 1e if he wants to prove his prowess in hold 'em.
