Lamy Piles on the Pressure

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

When the action folded to Dominique Lamy on the button, he raised to 12,000. Both the small blind and Florian Berge in the big blind called.

When both players in the blinds checked on the 9AK flop, Lamy continued for 14,000. The small blind folded, but Berge opted to check-raise, sliding 40,000 into the middle. Lamy took some time to consider his options before returning in kind, moving all in, covering Berge's remaining stack of 110,000.

With a pained look on his face, Berge elected to return his cards to the dealer, surrendering his chips in the middle.

O'Dwyer Leaves Ward on Fumes

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Catching the action on the completed board of QK676, Michael Ward checked from the small blind to Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind. O'Dwyer then fired 38,000 into the pot of 75,000, which Ward called after some time in the tank.

O'Dwyer tabled K5 for kings and sixes, causing ward to nod his head and muck his cards.

James Catches Gil Speeding

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Xavier James opened to 12,000 in early position before calling a three-bet of 36,000 from Victor Gil in the small blind.

Both players checked on the 967 flop and the 10 turn.

Gil opted to pick his betting lead back up on the 4 river, putting 25,000 into the middle. James almost beat him into the pot, and when Gil showed KQ, James flipped over A10 for the winner.

Nursing a stack of just 14,000, Dara O'Kearney limped in before seeing a raise to 25,000 from Neculai Macovei. The action folded back to O'Kearney, who committed the rest of his chips.

Dara O'Kearney: AK All in
Neculai Macovei: KQ

A promising situation for O'Kearney soon turned sour, as the dealer burned and turned a Q94 flop.

The 7 turn and K river couldn't save the PokerStars Team Pro member, as his main event came to an unfortunate end.

River Flushes Murphy Out

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a single-raised pot to the 10103 flop, Peter Murphy check-raised the continuation-bet of John Power. Power called, growing the pot to 170,000 when the K hit the turn.

Murphy reverted to checking, prompting Power to bet 70,000. Murphy sighed as he shipped in his remaining 130,000 chips, and Power quickly called with the covering stack.

Peter Murphy: QQ All in
John Power: A8

Murphy's queens were in the lead, but Power completed his flush on the 6 river to send his opponent out of the Main Event.
