Cullinane Makes Uncomfortable Fold

Aiden Cullinane opened to 75,000 from under the gun, but found himself facing a tough decision when Shane Keary moved all in for 330,000 from the small blind.

Cullinane toiled over the decision, with chat going back and forth between the two players whilst he was in the tank.

With time ticking on, another player at the table called the clock, which prompted Cullinane to return his cards to the dealer.

Keary flipped over A♣Q♥, and Cullinane let him know he had folded pocket tens.

A situation of promise for Talbot soon turned to dismay, as the dealer spread a nine-high 5♥9♣6♣ flop.

As Tarbot stood up from his seat, seemingly resigned to his fate, the dealer completed the board with the 5♠ turn and the Q♦ river.

Ian Simpson limped in from the small blind, and Roderick Watson checked his option in the big blind. Simpson bet 20,000 on the 10♠A♣9♥ flop and 80,000 on the 7♦ turn, both of which Watson called.

Simpson sized up to 230,000 on the 8♣ river, which Watson also quickly looked up. Simpson tabled A♦8♠ for two pair, but it was no good against the J♦9♠ of Watson, who had rivered a straight to win the pot.

Spartak Torosian open-jammed his 205,000 remaining chips in early position. Mandu Sansonnens called in the hijack, after which the action folded to Seamus Cahill in the big blind.

Cahill moved all in as well, putting his 474,000 chips at risk. Sansonnens took some time to think things through, but decided his odds were too good and called off.

The 6♥5♣7♦3♦ turn brought some chop outs.

"No four," Cahill pleaded, and his wish was granted when the river fell the safe 5♠. Cahill was shipped the pot, eliminating Torosian as Cahill nearly tripled up.

The action was picked as Peter Johnston had moved his stack of roughly 300,000 into the middle and had been called by both Paul Carr and Thomas Avgustin.

When the dealer rolled over the 5♠J♦4♠ flop in the already inflated pot, Avgustin checked in the big blind. Carr wasted no time at all in putting 210,000 into the middle, only to see Avgustin check-raise all in. Carr would have to risk his remaining 635,000 if he wanted to call.

After toiling over a decision, Carr asked his opponent if he had jacks before folding.

Thomas Avgustin: 10♥10♦

It wasn't Avgustin who had the pocket jacks; it was Johnston.

The dealer completed the board with the J♥ turn and the Q♣ river, which saw Johnston triple up in style.

The side pot was pushed to Avgustin, who Carr then told he had folded pocket kings.
