2026 Irish Open
Michael Prendergast raised to 800,000 from the cutoff, which only Francesco Gisolfi called in the big blind.
On a K♥9♠3♠ flop, Gisolfi check-called a bet of 500,000.
The turn brought the 4♦, and this time Gisolfi check-called a more substantial 2,100,000.
There was no slowing down from Prendergast on the K♦ river. When Gisolfi checked for a third time, he moved all in, covering Gisolfi's stack of 3,725,000.
Gisolfi used a time extension whilst deciding the best course of action, and then called.
Prendergast flipped over 8♣7♣, which was no good versus the K♠5♦ of Gisolfi.
Steve O'Dwyer opened to 800,000 from early position, but ultimately ended up folding his hand when Weijie Zheng moved all in for 10,600,000 from the button.
Ali Abdulzahra put in his stack of 1,350,000 under the gun. Isaac Barker isolated in the hijack before the rest of the table got out of the way.
Ali Abdulzahra: J♠9♦
Isaac Barker: 9♠9♣
Abdulzahra's hand was dominated, but he rivered a straight on the 3♥10♦Q♥2♥8♣ runout to double up to a stack of nine big blinds.
Oliver Gayko slid a bet of 4,200,000 into the middle, which was 375,000 shy of being his whole stack. The action folded to Edward Dunphy, who called, thinking that Gayko was all in.
Once the confusion was cleared up, the dealer spread a 7♣7♥5♥ flop, and Dunphy bet enough to cover the stake of Gayko. Gayko called, and the cards were revealed.
Oliver Gayko: J♠J♦
Edward Dunphy: K♣K♦
It wasn't what Gayko was hoping to see, left with just two outs to survive.
The 5♠ turn was unforthcoming, but the miracle J♣ river came to his rescue.
Gayko scooped in the huge pot, and Dunphy was left stunned.
It folded to Luca Bernardi in the small blind, who limped in. Isaac Barker checked his option in the big blind and called Bernardi's bet of 400,000 on the 6♦J♣J♠ flop.
Bernardi sized up to 1,500,000 on the J♥ turn. Barker tossed in more calling chips, seeing the 2♦ river complete the board.
Bernardi completed his triple barrel with a bet of 3,000,000. Barker spent some time in the tank before he made the minimum raise to 6,0000,000, leaving only 50,000 behind.
Bernardi weighed his options for a while, but deemed his odds too good and called. Barker tabled J♦2♠ for quad jacks, and Bernardi's cards quickly hit the muck.
Jarkko Suokas kicked the action off from middle position, putting a raise of 800,000 into the middle. Marios Papazois responded with a three-bet to 2,250,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Suokas, who four-bet to 4,700,000. Papazois then asked for it all, five-bet jamming for 12,500,000.
Suokas turbo snap-folded, and surrendered his chips already in the middle.
Isaac Barker raised to 900,000 in the cutoff. Narcis Nedelcu defended is big blind and checked the 5♥Q♣J♣ flop over to Barker. Barker placed a continuation-bet of 950,000.
Nedelcu spent two of his time banks before raising to 3,200,000. Barker then quickly moved all in, and Nedelcu snap-folded his cards to forfeit the pot.
Francesco Gisolfi opened to 800,000 from under the gun, and immediately faced a three-bet to 1,900,000 from Edward Dunphy, one seat to his left.
The action folded back to Gisolfi, who called.
Both players checked on the 4♦7♦3♣ flop, prompting Gisolfi to take over the betting lead on the 3♥ turn. He put 550,000 into the middle, which Dunphy called.
The 2♣ river didn't slow the action. Gisolfi bet again, this time for 1,400,000. That was enough to see Dunphy cede, as he returned his cards to the dealer.
