Zong Wu was the shortest stack at risk in a three-way all-in over on table five that also included AO and Liu Cheng.
Zong Wu: A♦A♣
AO: K♦K♥
Liu Cheng: J♥10♦
The board ran out J♣9♣6♦7♥A♣ and Wu tripled up while AO doubled through Cheng for 338,000.
Cheng was then all-in with the A♥A♦ and AO was trying to finish the job with the A♣K♥. However, the aces held on the J♥9♦8♦K♣8♣ and Cheng doubled right back.
The action escalated on multiple tables at once with a few minutes to go prior to the dinner break.
Dan Cates picked up a straight draw with 9♦8♠ on the Q♣7♣6♦ flop but Kobe's A♠A♥ stayed ahead on the J♣ turn and Q♥ river. The table was told to stop with just three players and Tom Dwan was moved over only to get knocked out by Kobe as well.
Dwan's A♦10♦ were up against J♠J♣ and they couldn't get there despite a mighty sweat on the K♦10♣9♦7♠9♠ board.
The flipping for stacks has also commenced on table two and it was Zong Tang all-in for more than one full stack with the A♥J♣. CD looked him up with the Q♣Q♦ and the Q♥6♣6♠ flop all but locked it up.
No running aces followed with the 7♥ turn and 10♥ river, sending Tang to the rail. Both players instantly declared "cover, cover, cover" and the chips were pushed one spot over to CD as quickly.
The $5,000 Single Day NLH winner Yao Xiao had already entered for a second time and exhausted the first bullet. He then got it in with the K♥Q♦ and was up against Ai with the A♣A♥. The Q♣J♣10♥ flop gave Xiao more outs but the 8♠ turn and 8♦ river were not among them.
Dan Cates had re-entered to table three and got one shove through. He was then all-in preflop with the A♠K♠ against table chip leader Kobe, who had the interior A♥J♦. The board paired twice on the 9♦8♥7♣9♣7♠ and they chopped it up.
No longer on the table is Zong Bao, who may very well jump back in at some point.
CD earned a full double when his 9♦9♣ made a full house on the J♠9♥7♣K♥J♣ runout. On the same table, Zong Tang was trying to knock out two shorter stacks with K♣Q♣ versus A♦A♣ and J♦10♦. The A♥8♠6♦7♦10♠ board let both opponents survive.
Tang got his revenge against one of them the next hand with A♦9♦ versus K♣J♣, as he remained best on a board of 10♥9♠8♠6♦10♠.
Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards is a new podcast for PokerNews that focuses on poker players with successful careers and lives outside of poker.
For the third episode, Connor spoke with high-stakes poker player, politician and entrepreneur Antanas "Tony G" Guoga. In the interview, Tony G spoke about growing up in Lithuania, founding PokerNews in the early 2000s, getting into European politics later in life and his favorite televised poker moments.
He also opened up about clashing with players like Phil Hellmuth in televised games and even issued a heads-up challenge to the Poker Brat. Will Hellmuth take him on, or is he, like Tony G said, "afraid to ever play me again?"
