Hairabedian Hits the Magic River

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Harry Casagrande limped in with the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Roger Hairabedian checked his option in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. On the {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Hairabedian check-called a bet of 35,000 and the {7-Clubs} turn improved Casagrande to a straight.

Hairabedian checked once more and then called a second bet worth 75,000 by Casagrande. The {j-Clubs} river was a disaster for Casagrande who now had the queen-high flush while Hairabedian improved to the nut flush.

Hairabedian only bet 200,000 and Casagrande called to see his stack hurt significantly.

Eric Lescot: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Harry Casagrande: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop improved Lescot to a set and the {q-Clubs} on the turn and the {j-Diamonds} river kept the Belgian in contention.

Andreas Bremer Eliminated in 5th Place (€10,901)

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Andreas Bremer
Andreas Bremer

In a three-way limped pot to the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Roger Hairabedian in the cutoff let go of {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} as Andreas Bremer bet the pot for 105,000. Christian Stratmeyer raised and Bremer got his 130,000 behind into the middle to create the following showdown.

Andreas Bremer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Christian Stratmeyer: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Bremer was in dire shape as he needed running cards for a wheel. Instead it was all over for Bremer on the {10-Spades} turn and the {7-Clubs} river was a formality. Bremer, who had nursed a short stack for a long time, made it all the way to 5th place and takes home €10,901.

Roger Hairabedian: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}

Harry Casagrande

Roger Hairabedian raised from under the gun and Harry Casagrande called with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} on the button. On the {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Hairabedian bet 60,000 and Casagrande made the call to turn the nut flush with the {7-Clubs}.

Both players checked and Hairabedian bet the {8-Clubs} river for 25,000. Casagrande raised to 175,000 and Hairabedian reluctantly folded {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a set.

Harry Casagrande raised it up from under the gun with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Christian Stratmeyer defended the {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} in the big blind.

They checked down the board of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the pot was shipped to Stratmeyer.

Jonas Kronwitter then raised the pot to 70,000 with the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Stratmeyer three-bet the pot to 240,000 with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} with 235,000 behind. Kronwitter gave it some thought and folded.

Roger Hairabedian
Roger Hairabedian

In three way action to the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Eric Lescot in the small blind checked with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} as Roger Hairabedian bet 50,000 with {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} out of the big blind and Jonas Kronwitter called with the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} from under the gun.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn and Hairabedian now made it 75,000 to go. Kronwitter reluctantly called and they headed to the {4-Spades} river. Hairabedian bet 250,000 into 310,000 and

Miracle Double for Lescot

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Shortly after coming back from the break, Eric Lescot ended up as the player at risk in a battle against Andreas Bremer, who limped in with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} in the cutoff. Lescot came along from the small blind with {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Roger Hairabedian checked with the {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

The {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop was checked and Lescot bet the {j-Clubs} turn for 60,000, which forced out Hairabedian. Bremer gave it some thought and raised, Lescot called all-in for 80,000.

Both were drawing to a straight and Lescot said in French to Hairabedian that it will be difficult to win. "A six would do" Lescot added and indeed spiked the {6-Hearts} on the river to double.
