Cailin Jin raised to 400,000 on the button before Eelis Parssinen shoved in the small blind. Jin called for his last 870,000.
Cailin Jin: A♦K♣7♦5♥
Eelis Parssinen: K♠K♦6♦2♣
Jin was trailing Parssinen's kings as the flop came Q♥2♦4♠. The 2♥ turn improved Parssinen to trips and left Jin drawing only to a three for a straight, but he missed the J♣ river to end his run in fifth place.
Alex Livingston limped in, Quan Zhou called in the cutoff, and Vasil Medarov came along in the small blind. Cailin Jin then moved all in for 430,000 in the big blind and Livingston and Zhou quickly called.
Jin began prodding Medarov to call and create a four-way pot, but he decided to muck. Livingston and Zhou checked down the 4♠7♠K♣3♦5♦ board.
Jin then turned over A♠K♠J♥7♦ for two pair and both Livingston and Zhou mucked as Jin tripled up.
Quan Zhou raised to 350,000 in the cutoff, then called when Anton Suarez moved all in for 410,000 on the button.
Anton Suarez: A♠J♦10♠7♠
Quan Zhou: 10♥9♠8♣5♥
The 10♦2♠7♥ flop gave both players a pair of tens, but Suarez was ahead with his ace-kicker. The 4♠ turn also gave Suarez a flush draw, and he improved to two pair on the A♥ river to secure the double up.
Anton Suarez limped in under the gun, Eelis Parssinen came along on the button, as did blinds Alex Livingston and Quan Zhou.
The flop came K♠4♣5♦ and action checked to Suarez who bet 240,000 with A♥A♣K♦2♠. Zhou called holding J♥5♠4♥2♥ for two pair, while Parssinen and Livingston got out of the way.
Both players checked the 9♠ turn before Zhou led out for 600,000 on the 5♣ river that improved him to a full house. Suarez gave it some thought before calling as Zhou took the pot to increase his chip lead.
The sun was already beginning to rise above King’s Resort in Rozvadov by the time the final six players called it a night yesterday in the Grand Big Wrap festival’s €10,000 Diamond High Roller. Just a few hours later, they’ll be right back at the table playing for the trophy when Day 3 begins at 1:30 p.m. local time.
Quan Zhou leads the field into the extra day with 8,120,000, propelled by a lucky river that helped him crack Jan-Peter Jachtmann’s aces on the final hand of the day yesterday. Zhou, no stranger to success in high roller events with nearly $4,000,000 in live career earnings, already finished fifth in the 5K PLO Master event here this week and will look to better that result today.
