The luxurious King’s Resort in Rozvadov once again plays host to poker’s high rollers when the Grand Big Wrap PLO festival kicks off today with a big one, the €10,000 Diamond PLO High Roller beginning at 6 p.m. local time.

This event features a massive €2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, ensuring it will attract a packed and star-studded field of elite players who have made the journey here to the Czech Republic. Danish pro Theo Jorgensen won a similar event here last September, outlasting a field of 193 players to earn €426,840. That final table also included the likes of Finnish online legend Eelis Parssinen and Aku Joentausta.

The action on Day 1 consists of eight 45-minute levels. There is a 40-minute dinner break after Level 3, which should come around 7:30 p.m. Players begin with a starting stack of 100,000 and are allowed unlimited reentries, with late registration open until the end of Level 11 on Day 2.

This is just the first of three events featuring a significant guaranteed prize pool that will take place over the next week. The €10,000 Platinum PLO High Roller begins on September 15 with a €1,000,000 guarantee, while the festival concludes with the €2,000 PLO Main Event which features a €500,000 guarantee.

PokerNews will be providing live updates from all three events, and it all starts today. Stay tuned for all the action as players once again descend on Rozvadov to chase a portion of these massive prize pools.
