Ribeiro Smacks the Flop, Karakitukov Hits the Turn

Action folded to Tomas Ribeiro in the small blind who raised Q♣10♠9♥8♠ to 120,000. Veselin Karakitukov looked down at A♥A♣4♦3♠ and called from the big blind.

The 8♦8♥2♦ flop gave Ribeiro trips to take the lead over Karakitukov's aces and both players checked.

The turn, though, came the A♠ and Karakitukov made a set. Ribeiro then led out for 140,000 and Karakitukov called.

Both players improved to a full house on the Q♠ river and Ribeiro bet another 450,000. Karakitukov then used a time bank before raising to 1,400,000, and Ribeiro eventually got away from his hand.

Filip Lovric limped in from the button with 10♠10♣9♦7♦, Aku Joentausta came along in the small blind with A♣9♣8♥8♦, but big blind Tomas Ribeiro then raised to 160,000 holding A♥Q♥J♥4♣.

Only Lovric called and the flop came 2♦A♦6♠. Ribeiro continued for 135,000 with his pair of aces and Lovric called with a flush draw.

Both players checked the 3♠ turn and the 9♠ fell on the river. Ribeiro checked again, and Lovric tapped the felt behind and gave up the pot as Ribeiro crossed the 4,000,000 chip mark.

Filip Lovric raised to 100,000 under the gun and was called by Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the cutoff and small blind Veselin Karakitukov.

The flop came 10♦A♣9♠ and Lovric continued for 100,000. Jachtmann called, then Karakitukov moved all in for 665,000. Lovric called, and Jachtmann also called for his last 125,000.

Jachtmann lifted up his sunglasses and studied the board for a moment before calling as he dropped to less than 10 big blinds.

Ribeiro also checked the 10♥ river and Lovric bet 250,000. Ribeiro then began sliding two towers of chips into the middle for a bet of 1,000,000 and Lovric instantly mucked.
