While the late stages have been quite frantic unlike the earlier levels, one particular aspect has remained the same. Massimiliano Zanasi reigns atop the leaderboard by some margin and maintains the lead without engaging in any major pots.
The latest hand saw him bet 5,000 on the 7♠7♥2♦ flop and Nikolaos Lampropoulos folded.

The cards were already turned over with Oleksandr Sadovyi all-in and at risk holding the A♦K♣Q♣10♥. He was up against Inaki Gonzales with the A♥K♥K♠J♥ and picked up various straight outs on the J♦10♦7♥ flop.
However, nothing changed on the 3♦ turn and 3♣ river to knock out Sadovyi.

Martin Kabrhel on the button elected to call a pot-sized raise by Piero Alioto, who had bumped it up to 19,000 from the big blind.
Alioto bet the pot for 43,500 on the A♠8♠5♣ flop for Karbhel to call and got his last 16,000 in after the 4♣ turn, earning a silent call from Kabrhel without any speech play.
Piero Alioto: A♥K♦K♣8♥
Martin Kabrhel: K♠J♦9♠6♠
Kabrhel had a gutshot and flush draw, both of which he hit on the 7♠ river.

Quan Zhou was eliminated once more and didn't opt to buy back in with several other contenders following suit.
On Zhou's last table, Fahredin Mustafov bet big for 75,000 on the A♠K♠Q♠A♣5♣ river and took it down uncontested.
Harry Casagrande then arrived on a re-entry before Leonid Yanovski bet the K♠J♥8♥3♥10♦ river for 10,000.
"To give to you or not ... " Mustafov murmured and settled on "I fold a set and straight," flashing 10x10x9x7x.

With around 35,000 in the middle to the K♣6♣2♥ flop, Yunho Choi got a short stack in with the A♦K♦J♣7♠.
Martin Kabrhel looked him up and was well ahead with A♥A♣4♣3♦.
The J♦ turn improved Choi but the A♠ river propelled Kabrhel back into the lead with a set of aces.

Mats Nylander won a healthy pot off Giorgio Donzelli when his K♣K♦7♦3♥ flopped a set and rivered a full house on the A♦K♠6♣8♥8♦ runout.
Moments later two tables over, Ryan Oliver bet 70,000 into a pot of around 120,000 to the 8♣7♥5♦4♣ turn. Marek Uharcek then check-raised the pot to 302,000 and sent the Canadian into a world of pain. Oliver sigh-folded after a minute.
At the same time, Oswin Ziegelbecker and Grzegorz Derkowski clashed in a big pot, too. Until the 10♣7♠2♣4♥J♦ river there were more than 330,000 in the middle and Ziegelbecker jammed for the size of the pot ... Derkowski tank-folded.

With 128 entries recorded, just 48 players remain in the frantic final stages and they will play another three hands until bagging and tagging.
With some 145,000 in the middle to the J♠10♣2♦7♣ turn, Benjamin Alacam shipped it in for 32,500 and Martin Kabrhel called.
Benjamin Alacam: A♦A♣J♣6♠
Martin Kabrhel: A♥K♦Q♣4♠
Kabrhel had straight outs but bricked the 8♦ river.

Giorgio Donzelli on the button, Leonid Yanovski in the big blind and Thiago Silva De Morgado from under the gun invested a pot-sized raise to see the 8♠4♣3♠ flop. Yanovski check-called all-in when Silva De Morgado pushed and Donzelli folded.
Leonid Yanovski: A♠Q♠J♥5♠
Thiago Silva De Morgado: Q♣J♣10♠8♦
The 10♦ turn gave the Brazilian two pair but Yanovski got there with the 2♠ river.
"Finally ... after twenty nine bullets ..." he joked.
