Marc Palatzky made it 3,500 to go with the flop showing 10♥7♥5♦ and Giorgio Donzelli raised the pot to 16,200 for Palatzky to reluctantly call. That brought them to the 6♣ turn on which Palatzky checked.
Donzelli bet 30,000 and it was enough to force out his opponent.
Just before the blinds went up, Tim Van Loo scooped a pot when he bet 3,500 into Alexander Schwarz on the Q♦9♥5♥5♦J♥ board. Schwarz folded and Van Loo raked in the small profit.
One table over, Romain Nattaf raised the pot from under the gun and earned one caller. Oleksandr Sadovyi reraised to 7,500 and Nattaf was the only caller. The K♣J♦J♥ flop was checked and Nattaf bet the 2♦ turn for 12,000. Sadovyi asked to see his stack before calling and Nattaf fired another 31,000 on the 9♥ river with about as much behind.
"I have a full but I don't know," Sadovyi murmured and Nattaf replied "so you gonna at least call?!"
Sadovyi, however, folded and was shown the 9♠8♣7♦6♠.
"So strong ..." Sadovyi added before glancing back at his book.
Following a 8♥5♣3♦ flop, "Zimba Bwe" checked and Oswin Ziegelbecker bet 3,000. He faced a check-raise to 8,000 by "Zimba Bwe" to call and the local player then potted the J♣ turn. Ziegelbecker reluctantly jammed for around 42,000 and "Zimba Bwe" called.
Sebastian Juhlen bet the four-way turn of J♣9♦7♥9♠ for 2,500 and Roman Cieslik was the only caller. That brought the duo to the 8♠ river and Juhlen checked. Cieslik bet 6,000 and collected yet another pot, this time without showdown as Juhlen had folded.
Roman Verenko had entered not long ago and raised to 2,000. Marc Palatzky three-bet to 6,900 from the next seat and Berkan Balli cold-called, Verenko also came along.
The A♦9♠4♠ flop was checked to Palatzky and his bet of 7,000 won the pot without any further resistance.
In a duel hijack versus button, Romain Nattaf took on Alfredo Vega Meister and the latter jammed the 10♣4♦3♦5♥5♠ river only for Nattaf to snap him off.
When Vega Meister saw the K♠Q♦5♣5♦ for back door quads, he briefly tossed his cards to the middle of the table before quickly heading out of the tournament area.
Only Guenter Halak check-called a bet of 3,000 by Sebastian Juhlen on the Q♠Q♣6♣ flop before both checked the 3♥ turn. On the [10c[ river, Halak checked and subsequently called another 5,000 but placed the chip near his opponent already.
Juhlen tabled his A♣K♣J♣9♥ for a flush and took down the pot.
Peter Lieber raised to 2,000 and picked up four callers. Vasyl Pidhrushnyi then potted to 14,600 in the small blind and Roland Kraenzle called, as did Massimiliano Zanasi.
The 6♣4♣4♥ flop saw Pidhrushnyi bet the pot and Kraenzle jammed, Zanasi folded and Pidhrushnyi called.
Vasyl Pidhrushnyi: A♦A♥8♦6♥
Roland Kraenzle: 10♥8♣7♣5♥
Pidhrushnyi was ahead with his aces but it was a virtual flip against the wrap and flush draw. Nothing changed with the K♦ turn and 4♠ river to let Pidhrushnyi double for 69,100.
