King’s Resort History Made on Day 1e of the Super Main Event
The 2026 King's Million European Poker Championship continued to draw big crowds to King’s Resort, with the poker room packed throughout the day as the fifth and sixth flights of the €1,150 EPC Super Main Event took to the felt.
Day 1e concluded with 1,763 entries, comfortably surpassing yesterday’s Day 1c to become the biggest tournament flight in King’s history. The €5,000,000 guarantee was smashed by the late evening, but with tonight’s Day 1f turbo flight still currently underway, the final prize pool is yet to be determined. In addition, the final Day 1g starts tomorrow at 11 a.m., as well as the last Flip and Go Pineapple flight at 2 p.m., meaning the total is only expected to climb.
Amongst the big stacks to emerge from Day 1e was Will Kassouf, who made his presence known by accumulating 1,170,000 in chips. Kassouf soared up the leaderboard after making a huge hero call late into the night, propelling his stack, ready for the Day 2 restart.

Some familiar faces in the field included Czech poker sensation Martin Kabrhel, who fired three bullets in today’s flight (after several unsuccessful attempts yesterday). The third time looked to be the charm for the controversial poker player, as he squeaked into the money before ultimately busting in 252nd, just before players bagged for Day 2. As Kabrhel left the tournament floor, the entire room gave him a standing ovation, with players chanting “vamosss!” as he made his way out of the building.
2019 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Hossein Ensan was also among the sea of players, looking to add a King’s Royal Sceptre to his already impressive trophy cabinet. However, the former Main Event champion came up short, busting shortly after late registration closed.
The top 265 players were set to make the money, with the stone bubble resulting in a lengthy period of hand-for-hand play. It took a suck-out to finally burst the bubble, with Erdinc Guentay’s ace-jack besting Dusan Vlaisavljevic’s ace-king to send him home in 266th place. After securing their minimum cash of €2,300, play concluded with 214 players remaining.
Action will continue with one final flight on Sunday, October 4, with Day 1g getting underway at 11:00 a.m. local time. In addition, the Flip and Go Pineapple flight commences at 2 p.m., where players who win the flip will secure a minimum cash of €2,300, as well as an average stack to take into Day 2, which begins at 5 p.m.
