Erik Polluveer raised in the cutoff to 650,000, and Gerald Karlic called on the button to see the K♦8♠3♣ flop.
Polluveer checked to Karlic, who bet 550,000. That was met by a check-raise from Polluveer to 1,750,000. Karlic did not take long to fold, and Polluveer picked up the pot.
