Immortal with Piles, Koncz Bows Out
Level 23
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Immortal has a chip leading stack of just over four million, by far the biggest stack in the room. However, he refrained from getting in on the action in this particular hand.
HUGO opened to 80,000 from under the gun before Tibor Koncz put in his last 110,000 from the cutoff. Marius Gicovanu made it 325,000 from the small blind and HUGO called.
Gicovanu continued for 450,000 on the 8♠3♠2♦ flop, folding out HUGO.
Tibor Koncz: A♥Q♥
Marius Gicovanu: A♣K♣
Gicovanu had the better ace, and eliminated Koncz fter the 4♠8♥ runout.
