Sey Doesn't Hit His Flush Draw

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

About 30 minutes ago on the feature table, Hassan Aku Robert Sey jammed 255,000 into a pot of 400,000 on the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

Peter Pihlstrom tanked for several minutes before he made the call. Sey turned over {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush draw and needed help against the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} held by Pihlstrom.

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river were unable to save Sey and he was eliminated in 19th place for €2,950.

Mortensen Out in Two Hands

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Morten Mortensen
Morten Mortensen

About 30 minutes ago on the televised feature table, Andrejs Punka opened to 30,000 from the button. Morten Mortensen three-bet to 78,000 from the small blind before Punka four-bet jammed for 365,000.

Mortensen called and it looked like he was in good shape to win a decent pot after he turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and his opponent turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Tides quickly changed after Punka hit top pair on the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Mortensen was unable to get back into the hand with the {10-Diamonds} appearing on the turn followed by the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

The next hand, Peter Pihlstrom opened up to 28,000 with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} from late position before Mortensen got the rest of his 58,000 chip stack in the middle. Pihlstrom called and it was off to the races again.

Peter Pihlstrom: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Morten Mortensen: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Mortensen was unable to hit any of the {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board and was eliminated in 20th place.
