'You Have a Straight'

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Christopher Howden
Christopher Howden

Christopher Howden led out for 4,000 into a pot of around 13,000 after the {2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} came on the flop and Sargon Esfendiyari made the call.

Howden fired again, this time for 9,500, after the {4-Clubs} appeared on the turn and Esfendiyari called.

The {10-Spades} completed the board on the river and Howden jammed for about 13,000.

"You have a straight," said Esfendiyari.

Esfendiyari folded about 30 seconds later and the dealer awarded the pot to Howden.

Arvydas Merfeldas

Ant Gokcek opened to 400 before he called a three-bet from Arvydas Merfeldas to 1,200.

Gokcek led out for 1,000 after the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} came on the flop. Merfeldas raised to 2,700 and Gokcek called.

The {5-Clubs} came on the turn and Gokcek bet 5,000. Merfeldas jammed for more than his opponent's stack of around 15,000 and Gokcek called.

Arvydas Merfeldas: {q-}{q-}
Ant Gokcek: {9-Spades}{6-Spades}

Gokcek was behind but any {8-} or spade give him a double up. Instead the {5-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Merfeldas sent Gokcek to the rail.

Jacks Everywhere!

Alexander Belusko bet 2,100 into a pot of around 4,000 with the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} on the board. Artem Nechytaliuk paused for nearly a minute before he made the call.

Both players checked after the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Belusko turned over {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The players then let out a small laugh after Nechytaliuk showed he also had fishhooks with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} as the dealer began to chop the pot.

'Ace Saved You on the Turn'

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Harri Salo bet before he called a raise to 7,500 from Vadims Borisovs after the {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} came on the flop.

The action slowed down considerably after the {a-Hearts} came on the turn and both players checked with more than 20,000 in chips in the pot.

Both players quickly checked again after the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Salo turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Borisovs shook his head after he turned over {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

"The ace saved you on the turn," a player said to Borisovs.

Borisovs acknowledged that was indeed the case as the dealer began to deal the next hand.
