Brazilian Model Eliminated

Angelita Feijo = Busto
Angelita Feijo = Busto
Please don't kill the messenger. I'm weeping as I type this.

Angelita Feijo, yet another Brazilian model in today's field, is no longer with us. She just busted out much to the chagrin of everyone in media row.

Not to worry, Vanessa Machado is still in.

52 Players Remaining

I just got word that they might play 2 or possibly three more levels this evening. The target number of players is 27. Stay tuned for more official details.

Vanessa Machado Busts a Player

"They just want to keep giving me their chips!"
"They just want to keep giving me their chips!"
One player with a short stack open-shoved for 4,000 and Vanessa Machado called on the button with {5-Hearts} {5-Spades} . Her opponent held {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Somehow, the former model faded both overcards, a flush draw, and a gutshot as her pocket fives magically held up. She increased her stack to 20,000.

Chipleader = Jude Law Look-A-Like

Damian Salas = Chipleader
Damian Salas = Chipleader
Some say that Damian Salas from Argentina is a dead ringer for actor Jude Law. This picture does not do that rumor justice. So that assertion is debatable.

However, what is not debatable is the fact that Damian Salas is the current chipleader. He became the first player to surpass the 70,000 mark. He's currently sitting at a table with Vanessa Machado and Tamara Yael Szaingurten and is working on the 80,000 plateau.

I Meant to Do That

It's all skill...
It's all skill...
During a long session you miss something once in awhile, and in Jorge Landazuri De Los Rios' case he missed hearing Hernan Villa announce that he was all in before the flop. Jorge also announced he was all in, but he was hoping to get heads up with a player who had raised before Villa. He suddenly found that a big chunk of his stack was at risk and that his {A-?} {10-Hearts} was up against Villa's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}.

The {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} flop gave Jorge some hope of a chop, but the {A-Hearts} on the turn gave him a flush draw. One that hit as the river brought the {4-Hearts} and ended Villa's day. "He's running hot," Chris Moneymaker said, as Jorge added a pile of chips to his already substantial stack. He's sitting with around 70,000.
