Maguire Adding Some Chips

Rory Graham raised to 12,500 from middle position before Edgar Cruz called from the hijack seat. Action folded around to Clay Maguire in the big blind. He squeezed in a raise to 37,000, sending the pressure back over to Graham. Graham double checked his hole cards before mucking and Cruz followed suit. Maguire is now up to 220,000.

Alexandre Gomes Eliminated in 30th Place ($4,082)

On the river of a hand between the small blind Clay Maguire and the big blind Alexandre Gomes, the board read {J-Spades} {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. Maguire fired 21,500 into the member of Team PokerStars PRO Brazil. Gomes then moved all in and was immediately called by Maguire.

Maguire tabled {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds} for a straight and Gomes nodded his head. Gomes did turn over {9-Spades} {6-Hearts} for a rivered two pair, but was sent to the rail as the first one out on Day 3.

Now only Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck remains representing Team PokerStars PRO.

Mare Triples

Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck opened with a raise to 12,000. The button, Eduardo Hernandez, made the call before the player in the big blind, Daniel Fernando De Mare, moved all in. Both Maridu and Hernandez made the call.

The flop came down {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {6-Spades}. Maridu checked and Hernandez bet 12,000. Maridu folded, leaving just Mare and Hernandez heads up. Hernandez had flopped a set of eights while Mare held {A-Spades} {10-Spades}.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and the river the {Q-Spades}, giving mare his flush and tripling him up.

"Show me the money!"

Arturo Morales has just doubled up through Clay Maguire and in somewhat of a strange display of camaraderie, half the table starting cheering for him.

Morales' attempt at a squeeze play was foiled when Maguire made the call, but it worked out in Morales' favor.

At the showdown, the following hands were tabled:

Morales: {7-Spades} {4-Spades}
Maguire: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

The board then ran out {2-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} and Morales earned the pot with trip sevens to move to 140,000 in chips. Maguire dropped to about 210,000 in the loss.

"I still chooo chooo!"

Wily Tican Rory "A.J." Graham has just been eliminated from the main event by Edgar Cruz.

The two got it all in racing, Graham with {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and Cruz with the {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}.

"Ocho, ocho, ocho, ocho!" Graham pleaded, as the dealer filled out the board:

{5-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}

"F*ck!" snapped Graham, when the {6-Clubs} fell on the river, giving Cruz an ace-high flush.

A gracious loser, Graham shook hands with his now former tablemates before exiting the tournament area. On the way out, he graced the room with one final display:

"I still chooo chooo!" yelled Graham, pumping his right arm like a locomotive.
