The board ran out {K-Spades} {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and Bergren now has about 100,000 chips.

Pardo-n Me While I Double

Rogelio Pardo called off for the last of his chips after getting into a preflop raising war with Steven "$teveyMoney" Merrifield. Merrifled held {5-Clubs} {5-Spades} and Pardo held {J-Diamonds} {J-Spades}.

The board ran through {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} {10-Spades} {A-Diamonds}.

Edgar Cruz Eliminated in 17th Place ($4,711)

Edgar Cruz
Edgar Cruz
Edgar Cruz has just been eliminated from the tournament by chip leader Carlos Giron. Here's how the hand went down:

Action folded around the table to Clay Maguire on the button who opened with a raise to 20,000. Giron called from the small blind, as did Cruz in the big.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Giron passed the first option to Cruz, who immediately shoved all in for 68,500. Maguire folded and Giron tanked for a solid three minutes before eventually making the call with {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Cruz tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Cruz picked up some additional outs after the {Q-Hearts} fell on the turn, giving him a flush draw, but the river blanked ({4-Clubs}) and Giron took down the pot, improving to 720,000 in chips on the day.

Fred Dykes Eliminated in 16th Place ($5,339)

Fred Dykes
Fred Dykes
Former chip leader Fred Dykes has played his last pot here at the PokerStars.net APPT Playa Conchal main event. His executioner was Francis-Nicolas Bouchard, who now sits with just over 400,000 in chips.

Bouchard opened the pot with a raise and Dykes moved all in for an additional 82,500. Bouchard made the call and tabled {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Dykes turned over a pocket pair of fives and the two were off to the races.

The {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop had Dykes way ahead. He retained the lead on the turn when the {6-Hearts} popped off. It was on 5th Street that Dykes received the fatal blow. The dealer burned and revealed the final card -- the {J-Clubs} -- which gave Bouchard a Broadway straight, sending Dykes to the rail in 16th place.

Eduardo Hernandez Eliminated in 15th Place ($5,339)

Eduardo Hernandez
Eduardo Hernandez
Canadian Eric Levesque has just eliminated former chip leader Eduardo Hernandez from the tournament in dramatic fashion.

Hernandez opened the pot with a raise to 22,000 and while he was tossing his chips into the middle, Levesque attempted to talk him out of it (Levesque was in the big blind).

Action then folded around the table to Levesque who started talking... again.

"I told you, you didn't want to go there... You should've folded like I told you," Levesque said, as he put in a raise to 108,000.

Almost immediately, Hernandez moved all in stopping Levesque in his tracks.

After he got an exact count -- 80,500 more -- Levesque reluctantly made the call, admitting he was in bad shape.

When it was time to turn the cards over, Hernandez tabled pocket aces, having Levesque's {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} dominated.

The dealer then spread the flop: {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, a decent flop for Levesque considering the circumstances.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, giving Levesque even more outs.

"Another queen or club? Is that possible?" Levesque inquired of the dealer.

Another queen indeed.

The last card off the deck was the {Q-Hearts} giving Levesque trips, subsequently sending a heartbroken Hernandez to the rail in 14th place.

After the hand, Levesque stacked up just under 700,000 in chips.

James McKeon Eliminated in 14th Place ($6,595)

James McKeon - 14th Place
James McKeon - 14th Place
Daniel "djaniel" Mar raised to 20,000 from under the gun and action folded around to James McKeon in the big blind. He moved all in for 99,000 total and Mar made the call after verifying the count. The Icelander tabled pocket fives to McKeon's {10-Spades} {8-Spades}.

The flop and turn gave Mar a full house when it came {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {5-Spades} before the {8-Diamonds} hit the river. McKeon was sent home in 14th place, earning $6,595 for his efforts.
