Akkari a King
There was about 10,000 in the pot and a board reading 


when we rolled up to Andre Akkari's table. He was in the under-the-gun position and checked to his opponent, who was seat in the hijack. He checked as well and then both players checked the
river.
Neither player wanted to show, hoping to catch a glimpse of their opponent's holding, but Akkari was prompted to show his 
. The hijack then showed his 
before tossing his cards to the muck. We imagine his would have been quite the pot had an ace not appeared on the flop.
