Belluscio Busts One

Picking up the action on an {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Julio Belluscio was faced with a bet of 9,000 from an opponent.

A call from Belluscio landed the {9-Hearts} on the turn. All in for about 20,000 was the next move from Belluscio's opponent and an immediate call from Belluscio revealed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. His opponent had the lead with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, but fell when the {J-Hearts} hit the river to make a flush for Belluscio.

Stern Chipping Up

PokerStars qualifier Max Stern has just picked up the last two hands at his table and improved to over 70,000 in chips. Here's how that happened.

On the first hand, Stern fired a bet of 6,100 on the board of {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. His opponent was in position and made the call before the dealer placed the {9-Spades} out on the river to complete the board. Stern was up first again and bet 10,000. His opponent mulled things over for a bit and then eventually made the call. Stern tabled the {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush and his opponent mucked.

On the next hand, a player in late-middle position opened with a raise to 4,200. Stern was in the small blind and play folded to him. He took a moment and then reraised to 9,800. After the big blind folded, the original raiser thought for a minute or so, but he too gave it up and Stern won the pot.

Von Buxhoeveden Chipping Up

Action folded to Erik von Buxhoeveden in the small blind. He raised to 5,000, receiving a call from the player in the big blind.

The flop fell {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and von Buxhoeveden continued out with a bet of 7,000. A call from his opponent landed the {K-Spades} on the turn and once again von Buxhoeveden bet, this time for 10,000. Another call came from the big blind, leading to the {A-Spades} river. A bet of 40,000 is what von Buxhoeveden settled on, forcing a fold from his opponent.

Von Buxhoeveden showed the {2-Clubs} as he collected the chips.
