From the button, Alex Komaromi raised to 150,000. Claudio Piedrabuena called out of the big blind and the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Both players opted to check and head to fourth street, which produced the {J-Clubs}. After the turn, there was no more free cards.

First, Piedrabuena checked and then Komaromi fired 225,000. Piedrabuena check-raised all in for approximately 1.3 million. Komaromi made the call having turned two pair with the {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Piedrabuena held top pair with the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and was in need of some help on the river if he was going to double up and stay alive in the 2011 PokerStars.net LAPT Punta del Este Main Event.

The river card was dealt with the {2-Diamonds} and it failed to produce the help Piedrabuena needed. He was eliminated in second place for $141,220 while Komaromi was the last player left standing, the last Uruguayan left standing and all on his home turf.
