He Who Three-Bets Wins

Carlos Leoncio Mironiuk opened for 51,000 from middle position and Ivan Luca opted to tag along from the cutoff. Guido Ruffini, however, pushed out a three-bet to 131,000 from the small blind and both of his opponents got out of the way.

This seems to be a trend so far at this final table. We've seen very few flops and whoever pushes out a three-bet seems to take down the pot.

Melogno Doubles Through Luca

Ivan Luca raised to 52,000 from early position and it folded around to Pablo Joaquin Melogno who called from the big blind. The flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Melogno check-called a bet of 59,000 from Luca.

The turn paired the board, bringing the {10-Clubs}. Melogno opted to bet out this time, pushing 61,000 into the middle. Luca raised to 125,000, only to find a three-bet ship from Melogno for 591,000. Luca called and the hands were turned up:

Luca: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Melogno: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Melogno was ahead with trip tens, but Luca had outs going to the river. Luca was looking for a jack or a club, but found neither when the {Q-Diamonds} came, filling up Melogno.

Baruffi Neto Outkicks Resquin

Action folded around to the blinds and Francisco Baruffi Neto raised to 55,000 from the small blind. Osvaldo Silvio Resquin called and the two saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}. Baruffi Neto continued for 61,000 and Resquin called. The same process happened on the turn when the {10-Hearts} fell, this time with a bet totaling 80,000.

Fifth street was the {4-Diamonds} and Baruffi Neto flung out 125,000. Resquin called for a third time and tabled {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives. Baruffi Neto showed {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for fives with a slightly higher kicker. Resquin shook his head as this pot saw him plummet down the chip counts.

Dobrovolskiy Doubles Through Baruffi Neto

Vladimir Dobrovolskiy
Vladimir Dobrovolskiy

Francisco Baruffi Neto opened to 53,000 from the cutoff and Vladimir Dobrovolskiy re-raised to 120,000 from the big blind. A call from Baruffi Neto landed a {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop.

Both checked to see the {J-Clubs} turn where Dobrovolskiy moved all in for 236,000. Baruffi Neto called quickly with {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, looking to a catch a club against the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} (flopped straight and diamond straight-flush draw) of Dobrovolskiy. The river fell the {2-Diamonds} for Dobrovolskiy to secure the double with his flush.

Guido Ruffini - 8th Place

Ivan Luca opened to 51,000 and was called by Francisco Baruffi Neto. Guido Ruffini pushed out a three-bet from the cutoff, making it 132,000 total. Action folded back to Luca who thought for over three minutes. The clock was called on Luca and after a full sixty seconds he still had not reached a decision and his hand was forced into the muck. Baruffi Neto, on the other hand, quickly decided to call.

The flop brought the {Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Baruffi Neto checked. Ruffini continued out for 136,000 and Baruffi Neto called. The turn paired the board, bringing the {10-Diamonds} and Baruffi Neto checked for a second time. Ruffini shoved out 200,000 and Baruffi Neto announced all in. Ruffini quickly called, flipping up {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} only to find he was behind the turned trips of Baruffi Neto who held {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The {8-Hearts} river was of no help to Ruffini and he was sent packing.
