Nacho Rivered

With the board reading {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the bet was 1,200 to Nacho Barbero. He deliberated briefly before calling, resulting in the {A-Clubs} river card. His opponent bet 2,300 and after a few moments, Nacho re-raised. His opponent spent about 45 seconds in the tank before tossing in his lone 5,000 chip into the pot and called all in.

Barbero tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a turned set, but his opponent tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} for a rivered set to win the pot.

Komaromi Runs Into Queens

Alex Komaromi
Alex Komaromi

The action opened with the player under the gun tossing out a min-raise to 400. Two players tossed in a call but found last year's champion, Alex Komaromi ready with a three-bet. Komaromi made it 1,550 to go and action folded back around to the original raiser who called. One more player tagged along and the flop fell {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

The original under the gun raiser checked, as the did the other player. Komaromi continued out with a bet of 2,000 and the player under the gun instantly tossed out another min-raise, making it 4,000. The other player got out of the way and Komaromi threw out two yellow T1,000 chips for a call.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and the player under the gun opted to check. Komaromi bet out 4,200 and received a rather quick call. Fifth street came {4-Clubs} and both players checked. Komaromi's opponent tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Komaromi threw away his hand. His opponent, however, wanted to see his cards, and he obliged, showing the table the {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Komaromi is now sitting at about 17,000.
