Perks Jams on Hayes

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Tom Parsons opened the action with a raise to 1,000 from early position and he was called by cutoff Michael Perks. Button Richard Hayes raised to 2,800 and he was called by both Parsons and Perks.

The flop fell {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and it checked to Hayes who continued with a bet of 4,600. Parsons got out of the way but Perks stuck around.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Perks check-jammed all in after a bet of 6,600. A quick fold followed and Perks picked up the pot.

Dirks Chipping Up Early

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Joris Dirks is off to a great start in the Main Event. He is already up to 55,000 after making a hero call on the river.

The board was {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Dirks had checked from the small blind. The player in the big blind bet 1,800 in a pot of about 2,500. Dirks flicked in a call and his {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} was good enough to win him the pot.

Lex Veldhuis and Simon Steenstra

Simon Steenstra was on his third final table of Lex Live 2 already when he finally won his first trophy in London. Steenstra took down the £100 pot-limit Omaha tournament yesterday after making a heads-up deal with PokerStars Ambassador Kalidou Sow.

The Dutchman now jumped into the Main Event and he was seated at the table with community members Tom Parsons and Stefan Griesbeck.

Small Pot for Perks

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Michael Perks raised to 600 from early position and he was called by the player in the cutoff. The two went heads-up to the {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop and both checked. The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and Perks put in a bet.

He put 1,100 in the middle and was called by his opponent to see the {8-Diamonds} complete the board on the river.

Another bet worth 2,200 was enough for Perks to pick up the pot without showdown.
