$4 Million Guaranteed MicroMillions Returns to PokerStars

Online poker's most prestigious low-stakes tournament series is returning to PokerStars from July and bringing with it $4 million in guaranteed prize pools. The 2024 edition of the ever-popular MicroMillions sees 208 affordable events take place between July 7-21 in what will be a fortnight of incredible poker action.

Where many poker tournament festivals focus on high-stakes events, often with tournaments commanding four, five, or six-figure buy-ins, the MicroMillions events start from only $1.10 and top out at a still affordable $55.

However, just because MicroMillions tournaments don't cost the earth to enter doesn't mean there isn't plenty of money to play for. The smallest guaranteed prize pool offered during the series is $1,500, and there are five events with six-figure guarantees, including the $500,000 guaranteed MicroMillions Main Event.

Orhan Busts on Bubble

It was an unceremonious moment as the bubble finally burst. Media and spectators were gathered around a different table where Oliver Hutchins had just doubled up. Over in a quiet corner, Egemen Orhan was all in blind in the big blind against two opponents.

As recalled by the player, Orhan had Qx4x and was raised by a player who had Ax8x. Another caller was in the pot too, also holding an ace in his hand.

The board ran out 7x7x8xAx with a blank on the river to give Orhan's opponent two pair, aces and eights.

Orhan was eliminated on the stone bubble. The rest of the players all locked up at least a min-cash.

Prior to the bubble, Harcharan Dogra called a raise in the big blind and then shoved the flop on a board of 5♥9♠8♣. He was holding 10♦5♦ for a pair of fives. His opponent called, but the turn was the 5♣ to give Dogra trips and a double on the bubble.

Elsewhere, Oliver Hutchins had flat called a raise in the big blind, then check called all in on the flop on a board of J♥4♣9♣. Both Hutchins and his opponent had a pair of jacks, but Hutchins had the ace kicker and made two pair on the river to double his stack.
