Day 1b Completed
Day 1b of the Lex Live Main Event, running at Casino Barcelona, has now reached its conclusion. A total of 92 entries were made to the flight and 25 players bagged and tagged for Day 2.
Jaume Alomar of Spain topped the field and bagged 273,000 chips. Alomar is a regular on the local circuits around Spain and has five figure scores under his name, including a third place finish in the Estrellas Poker Tour back in 2012 worth 50,000 and a string of more recent, albeit smaller cashes.
Close behind in second place is Pablo Garcia, also from Spain, with 266,000. Garcia is on track for his biggest cash if he can grow his stack throughout Day 2.
All the way from Australia, Damiano Aloi finished the flight in third place with 237,000. Aloi has plenty of experience locking up cashes in Australia and only has a handful of scores on this side of the pond, which came from Lex Live London in 2019. The football manager and poker Twitch streamer is all set for a much bigger score in this year's edition of the event.

Lex Veldhuis also jumped in the mix, late registering for the Main Event, losing a few small pots, doubling up, then losing an all-in after reshoving from the big blind.
Jordi Granell Diaz of Spain, who topped Day 1a, still stands as the overall chip leader with 313,000 with one more flight to go.
The are now 235 combined entries and the prize pool currently stands at 91,650, with 60 players already through.
Day 1c is expected to be the busiest flight, so those numbers should balloon by the time late registration closes at the start of Day 2.

Day 1b has now concluded and 25 players have bagged and tagged to return for Day 2. Standby for the recap on PokerNews.
Ariel Faskowicz had 14,000 in the middle preflop from the button and Jaume Niell Alomar reraised to 45,000 from the small blind. Faskowicz made the call, but thought his opponent was all in and exposed his cards, A♦K♥.
The floor was called and tournament director ruled that the call stands and action was to continue.
The flop came 10♠4♦J♠ and Alomar quickly shoved all in for 56,000, knowing his opponent's hand. This created an interesting situation and Faskowicz clearly wasn't believing it. He made the call.
Alomar flipped over K♦K♠ for pocket kings. The turn came the 7♣ and river the 5♦. Alomar held to win the pot and double up his stack.

The tournament director stopped the clock and draw was made to play five more hands in Day 1b.
Kamil Chrostowski raised to 6,000 from under the gun and Hristofor Ivanov called in middle position.
The flop came 4♦6♠4♥. Chrostowski continued for 5,000 and Ivanov clicked it back to 10,000, which Chrostowski called. The turn was the 5♣. Chrostowski checked, Ivanov bet 14,000 and Chrostowski called.
The river came the 3♣ and both players checked to showdown. Ivanov had 8♠5♠ for a pair of fives and Chrostowski showed 10♠10♣ for an overpair, pocket tens, to win the pot.

Sergio Denaro was all in from early position preflop for 31,000, around ten big blinds. He was looked up by Xavier Pons in the big blind who had a much bigger stack as players flipped their cards.
Sergio Denaro: Q♣J♥
Xavier Pons: J♠9♠
The board ran out J♣3♥9♥J♦Q♦. In a rollercoaster of a pot, both players paired their jack on the flop. Pons made two pair with the nines, then a full house on the turn.
The queen on the river changed it all and Denaro made a higher full house to win the pot to double up his stack late on in Day 1b.
