Jan Hoogendijk
Jan Hoogendijk

Jan Hoogendijk topped the 327 entry field in The €220 buy-in Hendon Mob Championship at the Portomaso Casino following a heads-up deal with Austria's Andreas Blaskov.

Hoogendijk took a commanding lead in heads-up play after his pocket tens scooped against his opponent's ace-nine offsuit to have a 3:1 chip lead. The pair then battled back and forth until a deal was made.

Fenton Doubles Through Teeranan

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Teeranan Chuennirun bet 2,500 from early position and was met with a shove from Daryl Benton in the highjack. Teeranan thought about it and announced "gamble!" and slammed down calling chips.

Daryl Benton: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Teeranan Chuennirun: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

A flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} effectively killed any chance of Chuennirun winning the pot. The {4-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} confirmed Benton raked in a double-up.

Ziegler Eliminated by Vietti

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Uwe Ziegler bet 2500 from the button, Angelo Vietti moved all-in from the small blind. Ziegler shrugged his shoulders and announced call.

Uwe Ziegler {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Angelo Vietti {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The board of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} was no help to Ziegler and lost the pot. After the dealer counted both players' chips, Vietti covered Ziegler by only 100 chips and Ziegler departed the competition.
