Broda Scoops a Huge Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action was joined as Tommy Nyberg and Richard Broda were locked in battle. Playing from the hijack and button, respectively, there was roughly 19,000 in the middle, with a flop showing A910.

Nyberg checked to Broda, who opted to bet 4,200. Nyberg responded with a check-raise to 11,300, which Broda called.

The turn K saw sparks fly. With both players still very deepstacked, Nyberg inquired about Broda's remaining stack, which was 135,500. Happy with the answer, Nyberg moved all in.

"Wow, wow, wow", was Broda's response as he put a chip into the middle, signifying a call.

Once both stacks had been examined, it transpired that it was Nyberg at risk, having an ever-so-slightly shorter stack.

Tommy Nyberg: 99 All in
Richard Broda: QJ

Broda stood up, understanding the size of the pot, relative to the blind levels.

The river Q was a safe card for Broda, who commiserated with Nyberg before scooping in the mammoth pot.
