Both players checked the 4♦ turn, but when Nugent checked for a third time on the 9♣ river, Verdelet put out a bet of 22,000.
Nugent took his time in making a decision, ultimately choosing to call. It was bad news, though, as Verdelet turned over Q♦6♦, seeing Nugent muck his cards.
