2025 Malta Poker Festival Autumn
Level: 6
Blinds: 500/1,000
Ante: 1,000
The action was joined as Robert Loporto was all in preflop for his remaining 17,000, and at risk versus Magnus Pukk.
Robert Loporto: 8♠8♦
Magnus Pukk: J♠J♦
There was no help from the deck for Loporto, as the board ran out a safe 10♦A♥4♣6♣2♥ for Pukk's pocket jacks.
After the player under the gun limped in, Ib Djervil followed suit one seat to his left. Next to act, Matthieu Burguiere then raised to 5,000. The action folded back to Djervil, who made the call.
The dealer fanned out a A♠Q♥2♠ flop, and when Burguiere continued for 5,000, Djervil immediately check-raised to 10,000. Burguiere made the call.
The J♠ turn card joined the board, and Djervil moved all in for 28,000. This time, it was Burguiere who acted immediately, making the call.
Ib Djervil: K♥Q♣
Matthieu Burguiere: 10♠9♠
Djervil was drawing dead, and, as such, the river 5♦ was inconsequential, seeing him hit the rail as his chips moved across to his neighbour.
When action folded to Fabio Aprile in the cutoff, he raised to 1,600, which only Killian Farrell called, defending his big blind.
The dealer spread a connected Q♣10♣K♠ flop, and Farrell checked over to his opponent. Aprile continued with another bet of 1,600, but quickly relinquished as Farrell check-raised to 4,600.

The remaining players have been sent on their first 20-minute break of the day.
Action was joined as Hendrik Kwiatkowski, Mike Alonso, and Matthew Micallef were competing for a pot that already had 5,700 in the middle.
The flop 3♠2♠2♥ saw Alonso bet 2,200 from the small blind before Hendrik Kwiatkowski moved all in for 7,500 from the big blind. The action was then on Matthew Micallef, who also moved in, for 36,900. After a moment's thought, Alonso made the call.
Remarkably, all three players revealed they had a flush draw, with none of them having a pair.
Hendrik Kwiatkowski: Q♠4♠
Matthew Micallef: 10♠8♠
Mike Alonso: A♠9♠
Alonso was ahead and had both players at risk, but the 8♦ turn shifted the balance in favour of Micallef.
The river K♣ didn't change the outcome, and as Micallef pulled in the pot, Alonso rued what could have been, whilst Kwiatkowski headed to the exit.
