Verheij Chipping Up

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Action was joined on a flop of 8AK, with three players competing for a pot worth 2,500.

Danny Verheij placed a bet of 1,600, which Marc Schembri called before the third player folded.

The turn added the flush-completing 2 to the board, and when Verheij continued for 3,500, Schembri glanced back at his cards before letting them go.

Early Chips for Wilson

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Seeing two limps ahead of him, Steven Wilson raised to 600 in the cutoff. The player on the button called, the under-the-gun limper called, and Martin Hockday, the second limper, called too.

The dealer spread a flop of 66A, seeing Wilson continue for 1,000. Hockday called as the other two players got out of the way.

Wilson upped the ante with a bet of 2,000 on the 2 turn, which was enough to see Hockday cede.

Small Pot for Molnes

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

The action was joined with 7,800 already in the pot, and a full board showing Q99K5.

Thomas Molnes put out a bet of 6,000 from the big blind, which left Asif Warris with a decision to make.

After taking some time and trying to get some information out of Molnes, Warris opted to fold, turning his Q face up.

Day 1d saw a complete reshuffling of the podium positions, as three players advanced to Day 2 with seven-figure stacks. Vester Vergeest sits in pole position with 1,440,000, followed by Lee McCormick (1,200,000) and Marko Luksa (1,146,000), completing the current top three. Not to be overlooked, Julien Stropoli is the only other player to bag over one million chips so far.
