Trips for Canetti

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ibon Berriozabal in the cutoff raised to 6,000 and he was called by Jeremie Canetti who defended from the big blind.

Berriozabal continued for 5,000 on the 10JJ flop, and Canetti check-called to find the 6 turn where he led out for 16,000.

The chip leader made the call, then called again after Canetti fired a second barrel of 27,000 on the A. But Canetti hit trips with KJ and won the pot.

Day 1a was scheduled to end after Level 15. But the tournament director told players that the day will end after Level 13.

Rolli Doesn't Find Value with a Straight

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jeremie Canetti minraised to 5,000 from the cutoff and he was called by Fabian Rolli, who defended from the big blind.

Both of them checked all the way through a board of JQQ7 to see the A river.

Rolli checked again, and Canetti quickly checked back. However Rolli was waiting for Canetti to bet, as he found a straight on the river with K10. It was still good enough to take the blinds in the pot.
