On a board of 6♦J♦Q♣A♠ with 41,000 in the pot, Asif Ilyas and Louis Michaud found themselves at risk.
Asif Ilyas: K♦Q♦
Louis Michaud: K♥Q♥

After he was eliminated a first time today, Sabry Ferhaoui opened from the hijack and he was called by Soulimane Mikou on the button.
On a flop of 2♣7♥A♥, Ferhaoui continued for 3,500 and he was called. But it was the last action of the day, as both players checked the Q♠ turn and the 10♣ river.
Ferhaoui revealed A♦K♦ for a pair and it was enough to win the hand.

The 59 players of Day 1b are on a 15-minute break.
Moments before the break, a player opened from early position and was called by the player to his left.
Luigi Macaluso on the button then squeezed to 5,000 because he thought the initial raiser was too aggressive. However Benoit Chaney in the big blind decided to four-bet to 13,000, making two of his opponents fold. Macaluso then moved all-in for approximately 35,000 and Chaney called.
Luigi Macaluso: Q♥3♠
Benoit Chaney: A♠A♥
Macaluso tried to scoop the pot pre flop with his move, but he ran into aces. And even if he hit a pair on Q♦6♦4♦5♥K♣, he was eliminated.

Edu opened to 1,000 from under the gun, but Rehman Kassam to his left three-bet to 3,000. All the other players folded to Edu, who called.
The dealer fanned a flop of 5♣10♣2♠ and Kassam bet 2,200. Edu check-called, then both players checked the 9♣ turn.
The K♣ river brought no more action and Edu flipped over 8♠8♣ for a pair. It was enough to make Kassam fold.
