Main Events Kicks Off Today as Marrakech Poker Open Returns for 67th Edition
It's almost like last night's lightning storms didn't happen as the sun beats down once again for the opening day of the Marrakech Poker Open Main Event, running at the Casino de Marrakech within the stunning Es Saadi Resort. Day 1a, the first of three starting flights, kicks off today at 1 p.m. local time.
Tristan Forge is the event's reigning champion. He topped a 229-player field in 2025 to take home the title and 500,000 MAD (€47,645) for the biggest score of his nearly 15-year career. Forge bested Javier Tsunamy to take home the lion's share of the 2,434,000 MAD prize pool.

This year's MPO Main Event follows a different, slightly more generous structure as well as having a higher buy-in. For 15,000 MAD, players start with 50,000 chips and blinds run for 45-minute levels, offering plenty of time to build a stack for Day 2. Blind levels start at 100/200/200, with 14 levels expected for each flight.
Day 1b starts at 1 p.m. on March 27, followed by a turbo evening flight, Day 1c, running at 8 p.m.
