Chas Doubles Through Chip Leader
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Guillaume Darcourt raised to 5,000 from early position and Alexandre Chas pushed all in from middle position with a short stack of 37,500. Darcourt called with the covering stack and players flipped their cards.
Alexandre Chas: A♦10♦
Guillaume Darcourt: A♣3♠
Chas had his opponent dominated as the board ran out 6♥K♥8♠Q♠K♠. Chas held with his ace-ten high and the pair of kings on board to double up his stack. Once again though, it barely touched the chip leader's stack and Darcourt is still well out in front.
Elsewhere, action seems to have slowed down as players aim to bag for Day 2. Only 20 percent of the total field will make it through, with late registration closing at the end of Level 12.
