EV Paid Off for Slowplayed Kings
Level 24
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alain Dery open-raised to 100,000 from under the gun with 9♦8♣, EV flat called in middle position with K♦K♣, and Truquens called in the big blind with A♥10♣.
The flop came 6♠6♥J♠ and all three players checked to see the 3♥ turn. Action checked to EV, who then decided to bet his overpair for 125,000.
Dery then check-raised to 250,000, getting out of line with his airy hand. EV called to see the 2♦ river.
Dery fired again for 325,000 and EV made the call to win yet another decent pot and position himself as the firm chip leader.
