In a little over two hours, the final table of the 2016 Master Classics of Poker Main Event in Holland Casino Amsterdam gets underway. After two players busted out at the same time late last night, the final table was formed without the need for any hand for hand play.
Leading the final nine is longtime rounder Juha Helppi. The Finnish player, with $6,457,817 in live tournament earnings, brings well over 2.3 million to the table, 148 big blinds.
He's followed by Ivan Arbatsky from Kazakhstan and "hometown" player Hakim Zoufri. Fabio Sperling brings a big stack to the table as well, followed by the shorter stacks of Michiel Brosky, Stefan Fabian, Charlie Carrel, Rashed Zade and Samuli Sipila.
Play is set to get underway at 3pm local time, with still some minutes left to play in the 8,000/16,000 (2,000-ante) level. Action will be reported on a 30-minute delay as to not spoil the live stream with hole cards up coverage.
