Periaux Can't Make Paunescu Fold
Level 5
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Nikita Voznesenskiy opened 6,000 under the gun before Ciprian Paunescu three-bet to 20,000. Ludovic Periaux was in the big blind and made the call, followed by Voznesenskiy doing the same.
The dealer fanned a flop of K♠K♣10♣, and both Periaux and Voznesenskiy checked to Paunescu who fired a bet of 25,500. Only Periaux made the call.
The 4♣ turn received checks from both players, and the 6♣ fell on the river. Periaux dropped a bet of 26,000 across the line, and Paunescu wasted no time making the call.
Periaux showed J♥10♥, but was quickly shown the bad news as Paunescu tabled A♦K♦ for trip kings.
