Hasbani Can't Crack Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Antoine Hasbani
Antoine Hasbani

There was an open to 40,000, and Leonid Orman three-bet to 85,000 next to act. Antoine Hasbani put in the four-bet jam for 310,000 in the small blind, and the original raiser got out of the way before Orman dropped a chip across the line to call.

Leonid Orman: AA

The J92 flop missed both players, and the A turn meant Hasbani was drawing dead. The 7 river was just a formality as Hasbani began walking away from the table.

Bernard Larabi opened 30,000, and both Stepan Mikhno called on the button before Jessica Teusl came along in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of Q73, where all three players checked to see the A turn. Teusl checked once again before Larabi fired 35,000. Mikhno called, and Teusl dropped her last 2,000 across the line as she started to stand up from the table.

The 8 completed the board, and Larabi dropped 55,000 across the line, which Mikhno called.

Larabi showed A10, and Mikhno tabled A10 to chop the pot as Teusl's 98 was on the table.

Ju on a Losing Streak

Level 8 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Samuel Ju
Samuel Ju

PokerNews joined the action with the pot already at around 40,000, and the flop showing 6104. Four players were involved, and Azamat Tulepbergenov bet 75,000 after two players checked. Samuel Ju called, as did another player. When the 5 appeared, Tulepbergenov went all in, covering everyone at the table. Ju deliberated for a while but eventually folded, as did the other player.

In the very next hand, Ju raised to 16,000 from the hijack, and the player in the big blind went all in for 68,000. Ju called and revealed QJ, slightly surprised to see his opponent's hand with 104.

The flop A23 seemed promising for Ju, but the 10 on the turn changed everything. The 8 on the river provided no help either. Ju doubled up the other player, clearly unhappy about it.

Jessica Teusl opened 16,000 from the cutoff, and both the small blind and Szymon Bujok in the big blind made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of 844, and once checked to, Teusl dropped a bet of 20,000 across the line. The small blind called, and Bujok raised to 75,000. Only Teusl stuck around with a call.

Both players proceeded to check the J turn, and 5 river, were Bujok tabled 87 before Teusl rolled her 1010 face up and collected the pot.

With over 120,000 in the pot, the completed board of 8876J was already on the felt. Pavel Kovalenko was in the tank, facing a bet of 78,000 from his only opponent in the hand, Mikhail Zavoloka.

After a few more seconds, Kovalenko tossed in a chip to make the call. Zavoloka tabled Q10, missing his straight a flush draw, while Kovalenko took down the pot with A9.
