Savkin Folds to Gonza's Pressure

The J♦8♦4♦ flop gave both players a flush draw. Savkin checked to Gonza, who fired 2,000,000 in the middle. Savkin tossed in a quick call, after which the J♥ turn was dealt.

Savkin opted for a second check, this time quickly releasing his cards when Gonza sized up to 5,000,000.

Konstantin Voronin made the minimum raise to 2,400,000 under the gun. Alexandru Lupuleac was on the button and used one of his time banks before three-betting to 5,200,000.

Voronin quickly called once the action had folded back to him, after which he checked the 10♣K♦J♣ flop to Lupuleac.

Lupuleac continued for 2,800,000, but Voronin found a raise to 6,000,000. Lupuleac thought it over for a while, eventually deciding to put his tournament life at risk with an all-in reraise to 14,800,000.

Voronin snap-called and revealed some bad news for Lupuleac.

Voronin flopped trips on Q♣Q♠5♥, on which he check-called Menhardt's bet of 1,600,000. The 4♣ turn saw Menhardt size up to 4,600,000 after a second check by Voronin, after which Voronin instantly raised to 10,000,000.

Menhardt wisely let go of his jacks, seeing him dive under the 20 big blind mark.

He had A♦9♠, with which he elected to three-bet to 7,700,000. Ionita tossed in a time bank before clicking it back to 13,000,000, which was enough to let both of his opponents muck their cards.

Everyone flopped a piece on Q♦7♠J♥. Ionita checked his middle pair to Savkin, who bet 2,000,000. Al Mujaibel then raised to 8,000,000, folding out Ionuta.

Savkin thought for a good while but eventually mucked his cards as well as Mujaibel took down the pot with the worse kicker.

Banicevic quickly let go of his sixes as the first pot of the final table was shipped to Bryksin.
