Petkov Binks the River to Leave Khalaf Short

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Marsel Khalaf opened from the cutoff and Lachezar Petkov shoved from the small blind for 850,000. Once the action was back on Khalaf, he burned through a few time banks before he made the call with a slightly covering stack.

Lachezar Petkov: A7 All in
Marsel Khalaf: 1010

Khalaf was in the lead with his tens and added a gutshot on the 8QJ flop. The J on the turn did give Petkov a few more outs as any jack would counterfeit the tens of Khalaf, who still held a big lead.

It wasn't a jack that hit the river, instead the A peeled off, giving Petkov a pair of aces and leaving Khalaf with less than two big blinds to play with.

Vinayagamoorthy took the side pot, which meant Rakets was silenced and sent to the rail.
