While the $2,200 Warm Up comes to an end, the 2023 Merit Poker Retro Series at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino is far from being over. The day continues with Day 2 of the $10,500 High Roller.

After the first eight levels played on Day 1, 84 entrants were registered, and 56 players put chips in their bags. And at the end of this first day of action, it is Daniel Kyosev who is the chip leader with 413,000 chips, a little bit more than four starting stacks. He is followed by Suat Egili (351,000) and George Alahwal, the two other players who qualified with more than 200 big blinds.

After a deeprun in the Warm Up (20th, $12,055), Aleksandr Chernikov will try to do even better in the High Roller. He will start Day 2 with 249,000 chips, slightly more than Michael Allen (219,000). Sonny Franco (205,000), Andrey Pateychuk (196,500), Mehdi Chaoui (118 000) or Denis Kapustin (105,500) are also part of the 56 players who made it through Day 1. But the number of entrants will continue to increase, as there are four more levels left to reentry.

Day 2 will start at 8 p.m. local time on Level 9 (1,000/1,500 BB Ante 1,500), with 40-minute levels and 15-minute breaks every two levels.

As it has been the case throughout the series, PokerNews will be on cite to bring you all of the action.
