Smolka Wins Without Showing His Cards
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ruslan Volkov raised from middle position to 5,500 and was called by Dawid Smolka on the button. On K♣2♦4♣, both players checked. Then on the turn 8♥, Volkov bet again, adding 9,000 chips to the pot. Smolka called.
The river was the 4♠, where Volkov sized up his bet to 30,000. Smolka quickly called. But he didn't have to show his cards as Volkov directly mucked his hand.
