The teaser for Day 4 of the Merit Poker Retro Series $3,300 Main Event at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino is simple: 28 players for a top prize of $567,000.
Out of the 1,223 entrants registered in this event, 215 qualified for Day 3. Only 143 of them reached the first goal of the day: to finish in the money. Following that, the next step was to bag up their chips for Day 4. That's exactly what 28 players did.
And most of all, that’s what Mousa Barakat did. With 10,250,000 chips, I’ll be the chipleader of the final day. However, he was closely followed by David Hu, who bagged 10,000,000 chips, just two blinds behind.

Chipleader at the beginning of the day, Florian Guimond is still here with 7,125,000 chips. He leads an experienced French trio, composed of 2023 PSPC finalist Thomas Eychenne (4,550,000) and Rachid El Yaacoubi, who lost big pots at the end of the day to finish with 2,250,000 chips. Like him, Dominik Panka (1,600,000 chips) and Dmitry Gromov (825,000 chips) ended Day 3 with small stacks. But they know, maybe better than others, that there is still a long way to go to win.
The fourth and final day of the $3,300 Main Event will start at 1:00 p.m. on Level 30 (60,000/120,000 with a Big Blind Ante of 120,000) and will continue until a winner is crowned. Like on Day 3, there will be 60-minute levels with a break every two levels.
To follow the outcome of the Main Event, there will be a live stream on the Merit Poker social networks. PokerNews will also follow the action all the way until the end!

28 players have reached the end of Day 3 and are bagging their chips. They have qualified for Day 4.
The tournament director stopped the clock and asked the dealers to deal the last four hands of the day.
Action was caught when Florian Guimond in middle position, Konstantin Voronin (1,725,000) in the small blind, and Tugce Hursoz in the big blind flipped their cards preflop. Hursoz had the smallest stack with 1,150,000 chips.
Tugce Hursoz: A♥K♠
Konstantin Voronin: K♣J♠
Florian Guimond: A♦Q♥
Voronin hit his jack on the flop 9♥J♣10♠, but his opponents had straight draws. The turn A♠ didn't give them the flush but a top pair. The 5♥ on the river completed the board but didn't change anything.
With a pair of aces and the best kicker, Hursoz tripled up, while Guimond won the side pot, and Voronin was eliminated.

Michel Atallah shoved a first time from middle position, but nobody called him. But on the next hand, when he moved all in again for 2,100,000 chips, Vlado Banicevic called from the cutoff with his last 900,000 chips.
Vlado Banicevic: K♣Q♠
Michel Atallah: 3♠3♦
Banicevic had to win this flip to stay in the tournament. And he still had a few outs after the flop 9♦A♦6♠ and the turn J♣. But the river was the 7♣, and he was eliminated.

With 825,000 chips, Fedor Deldelov shoved from the hijack. In the cutoff, Rudolf Domin moved all in too for 1,200,000 chips. And on the button, Rachid El Yaacoubi jumped in the pot as well.
Fedor Deldelov: 5♠5♥
Rudolf Domin: J♠J♦
Rachid El Yaacoubi: 9♠9♦
Domin had the best pair preflop. And it stayed this way after the flop Q♠7♥6♠, the turn 7♦, and the river 2♥. As a consequence, Deldelov was eliminated, Domin tripled up, and El Yaacoubi was left with 1,650,000 chips.

Valeriy Pak decided to be tricky and limped from the cutoff. In the big blind, Ara Melkisetian raised all in, and Pak called with the smallest stack (2,025,000).
Valeriy Pak: A♣Q♦
Ara Melkisetian: A♠K♠
On the flop came 6♦4♦5♠, and Pak was on the edge of elimination. However, after the turn 10♥, the Q♥ appeared on the river to save him. 'Yeah!', he shouted to celebrate, before he took his 4,200,000 chips.
