Abbosov Gets There on the River to Bust Puczylowski

Marcin Puczylowski raised to 5,000 in middle position before Temur Abbosov three-bet to 15,000 in the hijack. Puczylowski called and they went heads-up to a 834 flop.

Abbosov continued for 7,000 and Puczylowski then raised to 27,000. Abbosov moved all in and Puczylowski snap-called for around 150,000 more.

Puczylowski showed top set, while Abbosov had the nut flush draw. The Q turn was safe for Puczylowski, but Abbosov hit the 2 on the river and began making chopping motions in the air as Puczylowski headed for the rail.

"Are you from Japan? A samurai?" tablemate Amir Saeid joked with him afterward. "Nice hand, samurai," Saeid added.

Andrea Dato and Mario Scalia built a pot of around 85,000 as they headed to the turn on a board of 1089K. Scalia then bet 43,000 from the button, Dato moved all in from the big blind, and Scalia called for around 90,000.

Dato showed K7 for top pair and a straight draw, but Scalia already had the flopped straight with QJ. The river was the 5 and Dato handed over another double up.

Murad Cakir and Kutay Taskin built a pot approaching 130,000 going to the flop which came 48J. Both players then checked to the K turn, where action was again checked through.

The river was the 6 and Taskin led out for 43,500 in the small blind. Cakir then moved all in for around 180,000 from the button and Taskin snap-folded.

Felipe Ketzer, runner-up in the Main Event earlier in the Merit Poker Carmen Series, just fired another bullet and took his seat at this table.

Around 70,000 was in the pot as Jenya Gavrilovich and Mehdi Chaoui went to the turn on a board of 2543. Gavrilovich then bet 31,500 from the hijack and Chaoui called in the cutoff.

The river was the A and Gavrilovich bet another 90,000, sending Chaoui deep into the tank. The clock was eventually called and Chaoui yelled out to the floor to come to the table himself.

"Just a smile," he said to Gavrilovich, who remained motionless. "No smile? Nothing?" he continued before eventually folding.

Gavrilovich then flashed 53 as he took the pot.

Mesut Tekin raised to 5,500 under the gun before Enver Hosver three-bet to 12,500 on the button. Tekin then four-bet to 35,500, Hosver moved all in, and Tekin snap-called.

Hosver slammed the table when Tekin flipped over his aces and watched as the dealer exposed the JQ262 board, securing the pot for Tekin.

The stacks were counted down and Tekin had around 140,000 remaining, barely having Hosver covered and sending him to the rail.

Kuzin was ahead with top pair, but Zabiiakin had both straight and flush draws. The 4 turn gave him the flush and left Kuzin needed to improve to a full house on the river to take the pot.

The river came the 3 and Zabiiakin held up to earn the double up.

The flop came 75A and Sokharev continued for 20,000. Sener then moved all in for around 215,000.

Sokharev tanked for nearly five minutes until he flashed the A and tossed it into the muck as Sener won the big pot without a showdown.
